Spinning 45 Ballerina
Dresden is beautiful, but it's raining here to (it's following me!). yesterday it didn't rain though, and I was so bored and lonely I ended up sitting myself down in a park with some punks to drink some beers. only one of them talked to me, the other ones I'm sure where to shy and/or scared to. I experienced the same sort of disappointment I usually do in that situation, because to me punks are the epiphany of cool. they're never able to live up to it, and I get easily bored by there slogan´ish political views. at least that was something though, something social. this city's architecture is really amazing (old and new) but walking in the old baroque quarter you're always just to aware that it has been totally destroyed and then rebuilt. some sort of crazy sad disney land for middle aged Germans.
Neustadt, where my hostel is, is apparently a really liberal place with a lot of bicyclers and other "alternative" people. Good shops, good food and good Germans who don't like to speak English. It's been; good. today I bought some books at a really nice antiquarian, and sat at a cafe much like Vaagen reading an easily red detective story sett in Venice, where I sadly wont be visiting because of the combo; heat wave and my hate of warm places. (I'm sure that's prophetic in some way...) I can't up load pictures in this computer either, so lets cross our fingers for Berlin.
